Are you ready to ease into November? The rush of October is finally over, along with any residual Mercury retrograde effects and the resounding magic from the end of the eclipse portal. Compared to the last few months, November may feel like a walk in the park after the last eclipse of 2022 is over. The rest of the month appears to be in high spirits, especially once we get into the swing of Sagittarius season! However, try not to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of Mars retrograde in Gemini. Take time to slow down and enjoy the good-natured pace of this month.
Major Transits
The full moon total lunar eclipse in Taurus will start the month off on a strong note on November 8. As the full moon ends a six-month cycle that began back in the spring, you may notice palpable shifts in energy and tangible results coming to fruition. Since this doubles as a total lunar eclipse, there is something unpredictable yet fated about the end of the cycle. Generally speaking, this could refer to a massive shift from an economic standpoint. Considering that this potent lunation occurring during U.S. elections, we may see a surprising change of heart while voting. It may revolve around money, assets, security, stability, and values. Although it’s tempting to predict, it would be best to observe. After all, the full moon total lunar eclipse in Taurus encourages us to surrender to the unknown since greater comfort can be achieved when we allow ourselves to brace the unknown.
I typically do not recommend setting intentions, manifesting, or performing any rituals during an eclipse portal. Typically, eclipses are more challenging to work with for witchcraft and spirituality. It’s often best to observe this type of lunar event.
To make this eclipse even more powerful, the moon will oppose Mercury in Scorpio, square Saturn in Aquarius, conjunct Uranus retrograde in Taurus, and conjunct the North Node in Taurus. Given that the moon is opposing Mercury, some sort of secret may come to light that will add greater context to any resounding mystery from this schedule. A conversation, question, or investigation may turn out more information than expected. Since Mars retrograde in Gemini is reporting to Mercury in Scorpio, it might be better to take whatever comes to light into the mind but to resist acting on the information. Something shady or sneaky could even arise during voting (I mean, have you seen the way some of these questions are worded?!). The Saturnian square suggests strife, tension, and restriction. It might be challenging to express your feelings about your past six months, especially if you are trying to mature from this cycle or come into your authority. Since the election is going on, this square with Saturn may also refer to power struggles between voters, politicians, and casting ballots. Although the conjunction with Uranus retrograde is surprising, it may influence a greater fluctuation in this eclipse. Revolutionary and liberating, the conjunction may help with breaking free from the Saturnian square. No matter what, the Nodal influences suggest that whatever happens is meant to be!

About a week later, Venus will enter Sagittarius. As Venus flees from the underworld, the love goddess will enter fiery and brash Sagittarius. Usually, Venus doesn’t love being in a fire sign, but Venus may make an exception for the Jupiter-ruled archer. Love is about to be bold, audacious, and abundant throughout this Venusian transit! New opportunities will be overflowing with excitement as Venus in Sagittarius brings out our inner conquerer. Fiery Venus is not afraid to go after our heart’s desires, so we may feel notably self-assured and even direct in our romantic pursuits. Being honest in love is just what some people may need, especially if they need directness to know if someone is interested. Venus in Sagittarius is not coy at all, so don’t be afraid to use this energy to be forthright with your intentions. Singles could use this cosmic Venusian surge to be bold and unapologetic in love. Venus in Sagittarius may spark a newfound desire for commitment, allowing singles to go for it on and offline with potential love interests. However, Venus in Sagittarius burns quickly, so singles may find that their attention waxes and wanes. Although the desire is there, Venus in Sagittarius might not be the best transit to lock down a relationship. Couples might also find that this is the perfect Venusian transit to explore new options or horizons together. This could be the perfect time for a couple to bond over an adventure, trip, or opportunity to expand upon a shared interest. Regardless, Venus in Sagittarius is sure to stoke the fire in any romantic opportunity!
When it comes to beauty, Venus in Sagittarius is bound to be inspired by traveling, culture, belief systems, and activism. Venus in Sagittarius is a free spirit and thinker, so this might be a great time for experimentation. If you are looking for an opportunity to play with bold colors and prints, this transit could be the perfect time to branch out from your usual comfort zone. Play around with new colors, structures, styles, and more! Since Sagittarius rules over long-distance travel, you might be more inspired by clothing and beauty trends abroad. If you feel more spiritual than usual, then you may notice that you are sporting more symbols, glyphs, and motifs than usual. However, Sagittarius tends to overdue it! So, this Venus in Sagittarius transit might be like a beauty explosion. If maximalism is something that you’re going for, then lean into it during this transit. If not, be mindful of how much you are doing or what you are wearing.
When it comes to money, Venus in Sagittarius might burn a hole in your pocket. The Jupiterian aspect of this transit suggests that money is more like an energetic currency that flows to and from us. So, Venus in Sagittarius may view finances as a resource that is meant to be in fluctuation or motion. Given this mindset, money may leave our hands or bank accounts as soon as it comes to us. Although spiritual, Venus in Sagittarius could accidentally lead to financial instability or living paycheck to paycheck if we are not careful. Luckily, money will turn like the Wheel of Fortune in this transit!
A day after, Mercury joins in by entering Sagittarius. Unfortunately, the cosmic messenger is considered exile or detriment in Sagittarius, which implies that neither planet nor zodiac sign prefers to be in each other’s company. Although this is considered to be a traditionally challenging transit, Mercury in Sagittarius still has merit. Direct, honest, and forthright, Mercury in Sagittarius tells it like it is! There is no beating around the bush during this Mercurial transit since the fiery cosmic messenger doesn’t like to waste time. As the explosive energy expands throughout this transit, Mercury in Sagittarius will encourage us to speak up with a booming voice. It’ll be hard to ignore someone’s commentary when they’re laying it all out in the open. Questions, comments, and opinions will fly at the moment’s notice – similar to the Eight of Wands in tarot. Although you won’t have to wonder what someone is thinking or doing during Mercury in Sagittarius, it can still be considered brusque. Mercury in Sagittarius is both celebrated and reprimanded for its candid communication skills. While honesty is welcomed, there should be a greater awareness of tone, turf, and timing. If this is disregarded, then Mercury in Sagittarius might result in foot-in-mouth syndrome or come across as antagonistic.
The sun will gallop into Sagittarius on November 22. Now that the sun is reporting to Jupiter, there will be imminent optimism. The expansive and lucky energy of Sagittarius season will have everyone in high spirits! There will be this ever-shifting good-natured feeling all Sagittarius season long. As we lean into the mutable aspect of the archer, we may feel more adjustable and flexible than ever. However, it might also be challenging to keep track of where our trajectory is leading to! The masculine energy of the sun in Sagittarius will boost everyone’s confidence, extroversion, and vitality. As the fiery nature of Sagittarius continues to expand, it will stoke the fire within each of us. Sagittarius season is the time to go big or go home, so use this period as a time to launch yourself into new adventures!
Get ready for the new moon in Sagittarius on November 23. As the new moon begins a new six-month cycle, this is the perfect time to readily anticipate the future. Over the next six months, there will be an undeniable desire to grow, expand, and evolve. Sagittarius energy will color this lunation with bold passion and stark honesty, allowing us to fully embrace this next chapter. The new journey could be a physical one that takes you to new destinations, countries, and more. It may also be educational since the new moon could begin a new learning curve within this cycle. Teachers, gurus, professors, and more could pop up along the way. As your new journey begins, this is the perfect time to embrace your soul’s opportunity for greater spiritual abundance and exploration. Have fun!
Since this is a Jupiter-ruled new moon, there might be an immense desire to make a wish! Grab a bay leaf and write down whatever you want to accomplish during the next six months. Keep your desire broad, general, and positive. For example, write down “love” or “money”. Sagittarius is usually not concerned with the details, so this is the perfect chance to take a leap of faith. You could also carve your desires into a purple candle and anoint it with herbs and oils that correspond to Sagittarius. Sagittarius herbs may include basil, sage, cinnamon, balsam, or garlic. Oils that are infused with such herbs will also work! While burning either your bay leaf or candle, consider having the Temperance or The Wheel of Fortune out to amplify the positive aspects of your new moon intentions.
As this hopeful lunation comes to fruition, it will form an auspicious if out-of-bounds trine with Jupiter retrograde Pisces. Usually, Pisces and Sagittarius would square each other. But the out-of-bounds aspects suggest that the degree of each celestial body is close enough to form an unusually harmonious trine instead of a slightly stressful square. Since it is out of bounds, it appears that neither the moon nor Jupiter retrograde will be acting normally. So, there is an air of unpredictability associated with this peaceful trine! Even though Jupiter is stationed retrograde, it is domicile in Pisces, so it does add a positive spiritual essence to the new lunar cycle. Something could expand and explode intuitively over the next six months! It could become an exceptionally fertile new moon given Jupiter retrograde, so whatever seed is planted will magically unfold. However, the catch is not getting carried away with any partying or excessiveness during this cycle since the zodiacal influence tends to be impartial to having a good time.
The Rising signs will experience a new fated cycle unfolding in these Houses:
- Aries Rising: 9th House of Long-Term Travel, Higher Education, Spirituality, Law, Ethics, Morals, Beliefs
- Taurus Rising: 8th House of Merging, Joint Assets/Finances, Marriages/Divorces, Taboo, Occult, Psychology, Sexual Bonds
- Gemini Rising: 7th House of Contracts, Commitments, Partners (of all kinds)
- Cancer Rising: 6th House of Work, Daily Grind, Routine, Healthy Habits/Practices, Pets
- Leo Rising: 5th House of Joy, Fun, Hobbies, Past-Times, Pregnancy/Children, Dating/Romance, Drama
- Virgo Rising: 4th House of Home, Family, Heritage, Mother/Mother-Figure
- Libra Rising: 3rd House of Neighborhood, Local Community, Local/Short-Distance Travel, Communication, & Siblings
- Scorpio Rising: 2nd House of Personal Finances, Financial Security, Material Items, Personal Property, Values
- Sagittarius Rising: 1st House of the Self & Perception
- Capricorn Rising: 12th House of Self-Undoing, Hidden Enemies, Hidden Weaknesses, Hidden Talents
- Aquarius Rising: 11th House of Greater Community, Friends, Friend Groups, Social Groups, Technology, Dreams, Humanity
- Pisces Rising: 10th House of Career, Legacy, Recognition, Public Status
Finally, Jupiter stations direct in Pisces minutes after the new moon peaks. Jupiter had stationed retrograde in Aries at 8 degrees back on July 28 then entered Pisces on October 28. From the end of October until now, Jupiter retrograde was tasked with reviewing the Pisces influence in our lives which corresponds with spirituality, coping mechanisms, escapism, compassion, service, absolution, love, and self-undoing. Given that Jupiter hasn’t been in Pisces since early May, themes from the winter and spring may have popped up during this introspective phase of the retrograde. Now that Jupiter is direct in Pisces, it is time to review the themes from earlier this year that had subconsciously resurfaced during the remainder of the retrograde. Since Jupiter is domicile in Pisces, we may feel immediately optimistic and hopeful as we begin to move forward. However, this is not the time to dissuade ourselves from the reality of our situation since Jupiter retrograde had addressed any illusion, confusion, or delusion. Move forward with faith that all will work out as intended, but don’t forget to use your discernment.
