After heavy consideration of where I want to take my writing, I’ve decided to start a substack. My desire to re-enter the blogging scene has grown over the last year, but I have felt somewhat pressured to return to astrological blogging. As much as I love writing about astrology (it’s literally my job), I’ve been wanting to branch out into other writing opportunities. However, the-crone.com is a bit limiting; this website serves as an archive to my astrology blogs and as a professional portfolio. Starting a substack seemed like a way to blend the best of both worlds, as I can write about astrology without feeling like that’s all I have to offer.
My substack is called “well shit, liz“, which I began in July 2025. It’s an homage to my early blogging days as a teenager and the finsta I had back in college. To keep this short and sweet, here’s what you’ll find on my substack:

As of right now, all articles posted on my substack are free. But for the sake of transparency, there will be essays, listicles, and podcast episodes behind a paywall in the future. However, all subscribers have the option to try a free 7-day trial to get a glimpse of the paywalled work. Subscribers can also pay $5/month or $50/year for all free content and paid content. But please keep in mind that you don’t have to pay anything at all if you want to be a subscriber!
Articles, essays, and more are delivered straight to your email, so you don’t have to be on substack to read my work. All of my subscribers receive an email for anything posted, so you will have a chance to read free work and get a preview of paid work. As of right now, I am posting one article per week.
With that being said, the-crone.com will live on. You are more than welcome to read through my archives, check out my bylines, and more. This website will continue serving as my professional portfolio, so it won’t go anywhere. But if you want to keep up with me, please come join me over on substack or Instagram.
